Your waste is transported to one of our permitted processing facilities where it undergoes multi-stage separation. Oils and greases are recovered for biofuel. Solids are separated and sent to composting or beneficial soil application. Water is treated and returned through approved pathways. Nothing goes to landfill.

Is this service more expensive than traditional disposal?

Our primary processing facilities are in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, and Texas, but we collect from all 12 states we serve. Collected waste is transported to the nearest permitted facility for processing.

What happens to the grease after you pump it?

Every gallon of grease we collect is transported to our processing facility, where it is converted into beneficial-use products. The brown grease is dewatered, filtered, and processed for use in biofuel production, composting, and other industrial applications. Nothing goes to landfill. In 2025, Southwaste recycled over 275 million gallons of liquid waste — that’s the equivalent of keeping 275 million gallons of FOG out of sewer systems and watersheds.
