Hydro Jetting Services

High-pressure water jetting to clear stubborn clogs, grease buildup, and scale from commercial drain lines. Powerful, thorough, and chemical-free — the professional solution for tough blockages.

Power Jetting

The Basics

The Professional Solution for Tough Drain Problems

When a snake or auger is not enough, hydro jetting delivers the cleaning power commercial drain lines need. Our high-pressure water jetting systems blast through years of accumulated grease, sludge, scale, and debris — scouring pipe walls clean and restoring full flow capacity. Unlike mechanical snaking, which only pokes a hole through the clog, hydro jetting cleans the entire pipe interior diameter. This means longer-lasting results and fewer callbacks. Southwaste uses commercial-grade jetting equipment capable of pressures up to 4,000 PSI, with specialized nozzles for different pipe sizes and blockage types. We handle everything from kitchen drain lines and grease trap laterals to main sewer lines and storm drains.

The Importance

Why Hydro Jetting Beats Snaking

Cleans, Doesn't Just Poke

A snake punches a hole through a blockage. Hydro jetting scours the entire pipe wall, removing years of accumulated grease, scale, and debris — restoring full pipe diameter.

Chemical-Free Cleaning

Hydro jetting uses only water under pressure — no harsh chemicals that can damage pipes, harm the environment, or violate local discharge regulations.

Longer-Lasting Results

Because hydro jetting cleans the entire pipe, not just a path through it, clogs take far longer to recur. Most customers go years between jetting treatments.

Versatile Application

Different nozzles for different jobs: penetrating nozzles for tough clogs, flushing nozzles for debris removal, and rotary nozzles for heavy scale and buildup.

Our Process

How Hydro Jetting Works

$

Inspect & Assess

01

We camera-inspect the line (when accessible) to identify the blockage type, location, and pipe condition — ensuring hydro jetting is the right approach.

$

Select the Right Nozzle

02

We choose the appropriate jetting nozzle based on pipe diameter, blockage type, and pipe material — from penetrating nozzles to rotary scour heads.
$

Jet the Line

03

High-pressure water (up to 4,000 PSI) is fed through the nozzle as it travels down the line, blasting away buildup and flushing debris downstream.
$

Verify Flow

04

Post-jetting flow verification confirms the line is fully clear and flowing at capacity. We document the before-and-after for your records.

Got Questions?

Hydro Jetting FAQ

Common questions about commercial hydro jetting services.

What Is Hydro-Jetting?

;
2

High-pressure water blasting was invented in the 1950s. It’s a motorized device that keeps a water supply under high pressure, and then sends it out a hose with a nozzle on the end of it. The high-pressure blasts of water scour the inside of the pipe, removing debris.

Whats the difference between hydro jetting and snaking?

;
2
Snaking uses a rotating metal cable to punch a hole through a clog — it clears a path but leaves years of buildup on the pipe walls. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the entire interior pipe surface, removing all accumulated grease, scale, and debris. This means the pipe is fully restored to its original diameter, and clogs recur much less often.

You can learn more in our article on comparing Hydro-Jetting vs Traditional Methods.

Is hydro jetting safe for my pipes?

;
2

Yes, when performed by trained professionals. We inspect the line first (when accessible) to ensure the pipe is in suitable condition for hydro jetting. Our operators adjust pressure and nozzle selection based on pipe material, age, and condition. For very old, fragile, or damaged pipes, we may recommend alternative approaches.

How often should commercial drain lines be hydro jetted?

;
2
For restaurants and commercial kitchens, we typically recommend hydro jetting every 12–18 months as preventative maintenance. Other commercial facilities may go 2–3 years between treatments. The frequency depends on usage volume, what goes down the drains, and whether you have a regular grease trap pumping schedule. We will recommend a schedule based on your specific situation.

Can hydro jetting clear tree roots from sewer lines

;
2
Hydro jetting can clear fine root intrusion, but for heavy root infiltration, a root-cutting attachment may be needed. We will camera-inspect first to determine the extent of root intrusion and recommend the appropriate approach. If the roots have structurally damaged the pipe, repair or replacement may be necessary.

Do you offer emergency hydro jetting?

;
2

Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency hydro jetting for urgent drain line backups. Call (866) 413-9494 for immediate dispatch. Our nearest hub sends a truck with full hydro jetting capability for same-day response.

Will hydro jetting solve recurring drain backups?

;
2

In most cases, yes. Recurring backups usually indicate that previous snaking only cleared a temporary path through accumulated buildup. Hydro jetting removes that buildup entirely, addressing the root cause. We also identify any structural issues during inspection that may require additional repair.
